. . . because it’s not (yet?) the planet of the apes.
So, I didn’t really go into orbit, but it kind of felt like it. I’ve already moaned on about how my new (awesome!) job was cutting into my writing time during the school year, and how I hoped that the summer would offer me more chances to catch up on my writing.
Ha ha ho ho hee hee yeah.
Best-laid plans, blah blah blah.
Not only have I not (consistently) gotten back on my writing horse, I have struggled to keep to any kind of schedule at all. But I have had some awesome vacations, camping all over the northeast. (It’s hard to complain about vacations! And I came up with a couple of fun new story ideas, too, so vacation is good for that. NaNoWriMo 2014, here I come!)
Regardless, I have made some progress on A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES, and am now about a third of the way through my rewrites. Maybe even further, if I think about it hard. But my intention was to be much farther along, so I can’t help but feeling a little disappointed. I guess the best thing to do is buckle down!
A few weeks left before school starts. I’d like to get our great room painted and my book at least another third finished by then.
